Carla Merrill, President, started HASCO, Inc. 20 years ago and has led the company for the past 15 years. As president, Carla manages business development while leading the overall growth and direction of the company. Carla is in charge of the day to day administrative operations and is always looking to implement new processes for improving employee and customer relations.

As a family owned business, Carla believes in treating employees like family members and encourages collaboration at all levels to create the best solution for every project. She believes HASCO has a high number of repeat clients due to the company’s honesty, integrity and eye for detail.

In her spare time, Carla enjoys music, gardening, church, camping, travel and spending time with her husband and her four children.

Tom Merrill, Vice President, focuses on providing high quality asphalt and concrete services to central Indiana. Today, Tom takes a highly visible hands-on role in the company. In addition to overseeing the day-to day field operations, he coordinates and plans with project managers, estimators and laborers, ensuring projects are completed with efficiency and within scope and specifications. Tom takes great pride in designing and implementing the right process for each and every project.

Tom excels at troubleshooting difficult projects and has the innate ability to implement the perfect solution to meet client needs. By building the company on the principles of integrity and trust, Tom believes HASCO offers clients a quality experience that brings customers back again and again. He also believes in keeping employees happy which keeps morale and productivity high and inevitably delivers a better product to clients.

Tom holds two degrees from Indiana University in Business Studies and Marketing. An adventurer at heart, Tom enjoys skiing, kayaking, golfing, traveling, fishing and spending time with his wife and four children.

Chris Hixson, Sales and Project Manager, is the newest addition to the HASCO team. In his professional experience, “Listening intently to a customer’s needs always produces the right solution and, when aligned to the most appropriate product or service, results in the highest level of success – for both the customer and HASCO.” We can always count on Chris to provide insight into client priorities with unbiased feedback to market demands that ensures we exceed expectations throughout every phase of a project.

Before joining our team, he was an entrepreneur with a successful Snap-on franchise in Bloomington, Indiana. He also enjoyed a 20-year career in healthcare sales, which is where he developed belief in customer focus as the top priority. With a skill set hinged on collaboration, managing business complexity, and fostering innovation, he always brings the best HASCO offers to every customer.

Chris attended Indiana University where he double majored in Journalism and Political science. While there, he met his wife, Kelly. They currently reside in Martinsville, IN, and have two children. Their son, Sam, is a first-year student at Indiana University and their daughter, Molly, is a junior at Martinsville High School. In his free time, Chris enjoys classic British sports cars, the occasional golf outing, or time at the gun range. While involved in any of these pursuits he never shies away from a good cigar!

JJ Bepko, Sales and Project Manager, brings a wealth of experience in customer relations to HASCO, Inc. JJ works closely with clients, helping them make informed decisions about properly maintaining their parking facilities. Specializing in asphalt and sealcoating services, JJ strives to provide clients a first rate experience throughout the life of a project.

JJ enjoys working on the HASCO team because the company has the ability to handle large projects but delivers services with a small, family owned feel. He believes HASCO stands above the rest by offering property managers a one stop shop for all parking services performed by in-house crews.

JJ earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Depauw University. A fitness enthusiast, he enjoys golfing, cycling and working out.

The details are important, especially for an Office Manager. That’s why we hired Lisa! Somehow, she makes managing a very busy office look easy. We can always count on Lisa to tackle any task at hand with excellence.

Lisa graduated with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. Before coming to HASCO, Lisa worked at BSA LifeStructuresin various departments followed by working as a Tax Preparer Assistant with StorenFinancial.

When she’s not tackling her responsibilities at HASCO, Lisa loves spending time with her son, daughter and two sweet granddaughters. At home, she lives with her husband Dean and their very large dog Corbin. Lisa also enjoys gourmet cooking, gardening and going to various arts festivals, concerts and plays.
